hi just got back from Osoyoos, it was a hot, laid back, lazy mini-vacation. Long overdue. A reunion sort of, people who would stay in touch more if the cost of living wasn’t so fucked up and we weren’t forced to do overtime and shift work seven days a week. Anyway we finally got together, and nobody mentioned the HST. Why? my crowd are usually all over that shit.

how’s work Donna

ok I guess everybody’s getting laid off and they are laying off the nurses too.

Jaysus

What’s that on your foot?

I broke my ankle last month.

What happened?

I dunno I thought it was a sprain and I went to emergency and they x-rayed it and they said I broke something.

How come they didn’t put a cast on it?

I have to see a specialist.

When?

In three months. So in the meantime I borrowed this thing from my mother so I can walk. (the thing was a plastic moulded ski boot like brace.)

Donna is a nice middle class mother of three little kids who works full time and pays for healthcare like the rest of us lied to ripped off, sick and suffering slaves of the BC liberals.

Good luck.

My friend Ron will be scheduled to have back surgery after he has an MRI. The MRI is important to give the surgeon the information he needs to perform the surgery. Ron is in constant pain and can’t work because of his back problems. The surgeon has assured him he can return to a normal life and work after a brief recovery.

If anyone is keeping score Ron is a successful business man who has done very well for himself and has never been a burden to the taxpayers. He was born in Canada and has been a taxpayer in the top percentile for 35 plus years.

Ron the efficient business man waited three months then phoned the Royal Colombian hospital and asked when he can expect to have his necessary and urgent MRI.

The person who took his call was very honest and courageous and spoke the truth, sometime in 2011 maybe March.

Why?

I have the machines, I can run them 24/7 but I don’t have anyone to run them, they’ve all been laid off.

Why?

Budget.

Ron who is a person of authority and a brilliant engineer wrote to Kevin Falcon Health Minister and inquired why he can’t get an MRI when he is in constant pain and needs urgent surgery.

No response.

Ron thinks the only way he can get an MRI is to go to a private pay as you go clinic and pay a thousand dollars (illegal according to the medicare act) or go to the States and whip out the credit card.

It is nice to be reminded that after paying for health care all your life the liberals have stolen the money for themselves and their friends.

Suffer you bastards

What a joke. What a vile corruption. Earth day my ass.

80% of all cancers are linked to the environment. (American Cancer society)

The incidence of cancer has increased 48% in the forty years between 1950 and 1990. (National Cancer Institute) 33% increase in childhood brain cancers, 52% increase in breast cancer and 134% increase in prostrate cancer. We are exposed to more than 100,000 chemicals, in everything from household cleaners, lawn chemicals, cosmetics and food preservatives (earth, air and water). The National Institutes of environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) says we are exposed to more than 1000 new chemicals (uncontrolled and unregulated) yearly. Thank you all you petro-chem frankenstein money suckingrabbing freaks also spelled CORPORATION.

So make sure you follow the rules (no corporation ever has or ever will) Eat your fruit and vegetables (extra pesticides) like those life style ninnies recommend daily in every media source. Get lots of exercise (don’t breathe) have a lovely Earth Day and God help us all.

I voted NDP but I knew the libs would win and I am glad they did so they can’t hide from their disatrous spending on the Olympics, the convention centre and the Railgate scandal. If the NDP had won the libs would use the humongous deficit they have caused to say the NDP ran the economy of BC into the red for the next 50 years. Now the libs have to face the music when they bankrupt this province. I am positive the liberals have sounded the death knell for their party for a very long time. They can’t hide behind obfuscation and lies forever. In spite of Canwest the truth will out eventually. When well respected journalists and pundits call the Gordon Campbell an “oligarch”, “dictator”, “emperor” and worse, it won’t be long until he is in court (again) explaining to a judge what the HELL is going on.

“Every Earth Day is a reflection of where we are as a culture. If it has become commoditized, about green consumerism instead of systemic change, then it is a reflection of our society.” Robert Stone

“This ridiculous perverted marketing has cheapened the concept of what is really green,” said Denis Hayes, who was national coordinator of the first Earth Day and is returning to organize this year’s activities in Washington. “It is tragic.”

The UNEP Year Book 2009 examines in six chapters new science and developments, and discusses the cumulative effects expected from degradation of ecosystems, the release of substances harmful to those ecosystems and to human health, the consequences of our changing climate, the continued human and economic loss resulting from disasters and conflicts, and the overexploitation of resources. It calls for an intensified sense of urgency for responsible governance in the face of approaching critical thresholds and tipping points.

I think the life expectancy of humans is going to decline substantially in the 21st century.

Have a nice earth day
